Publishing & MFA
Publishing is a consequential action, so an eligible Full Permission user or administrator must verify an authenticator in the current session.
Enrollment and verification are separate steps. Enroll an authenticator once in My Account, then verify a current code when a protected action requires it. If a session expires, the draft remains available to an authorized user after signing in and verifying again. Verification never overrides a missing team assignment or Limited Permission restriction. If publication is blocked, check document inspection, required fields, audience compatibility, and current association service state before retrying.
Steps
- Open My Account and find the Security section.
- Enroll an authenticator if one is not already enrolled.
- Verify your code to establish a current MFA session.
- Return to the draft and review its fields, audience, and attachment status.
- Publish only after the file is ready and the confirmation describes the intended visibility.
Good to know
- MFA is a security step, not another login.
- Limited Permission users may prepare drafts but cannot publish even with MFA.
- If verification expires, verify again rather than recreating the draft.
