Troubleshooting / Why can't I publish?

A blocked action usually means a role, community assignment, MFA session, document readiness, or required field needs attention.

If a button seems unavailable, first confirm which workspace and account role are shown. Check that the community assignment is active and the association service state permits the action. A file may need more time in security inspection, or it may require replacement after rejection. A Full user may need current MFA verification; a Limited user still cannot publish. Save the draft before leaving, then return through the same workspace after resolving the displayed issue.

Steps

  1. Check that you are in the intended Portfolio or Association Workspace.
  2. Confirm that your team assignment includes this community.
  3. If you are eligible to publish, verify MFA in My Account and return to the draft.
  4. Wait for attached files to finish security inspection; rejected files must be replaced.
  5. Review required dates, audience, and visibility fields.
  6. If your session expired, sign in again and return to the same workspace.

Good to know

  • Limited Permission cannot publish even after MFA.
  • A hidden Billing link means your account lacks explicit billing authority.
  • Portfolio staff do not automatically receive Owner Records access.
